Digital Footprint, Reputation and Identity

Remember “the internet never forgets”. This is large to the digital footprints that we leave online when we open a website, re-share articles, post on social media, send emails and instant messages. Everything we do on the internet —especially on social media—can be traced back to us. These digital footprints can both have a positive and negative effect on our reputation and identity.
The more we use the internet, engage with other users and create content, the less our anonymity and privacy become. Therefore, if you want to be a responsible internet and social media user, you need to take care of your reputation and identity online. So, it’s best that we leave nothing but quality digital footprints, share nothing but truthful information and take nothing but public domain content.
